CATALOGED DEFECTS
E-Prom memory
defects related to the e-prom
memory, if it is original to the vehicle, are normally linked to poor contact,
due to the fact that they are inserted in original factory sockets, if a poor
contact defect is found in the E-Prom memory, remove the socket and solder the
E-Prom directly to the board.
Ignition
defects linked to the vehicle's
ignition, check the component responsible for the ignition, carry out
measurements, if problems linked to this component are found, replace it.
Sensor mass
Check procedure identical to the
IAW1AVB system.
Lambda Sensor
Lambda sensor showing overheating,
as if it were shorted, may be caused by the malfunction of the component
connected to the lambda sensor, which may be shorted, if found to be defective,
replace the component.
MAP and TPS
Check for possible problems,
identical to the IAW 1AVB system.
Water Temperature Sensor
Check resistors and capacitors that
are on the inside of the protection (Can), if at the time this protection
against electro-magnetic interference was removed, they were not affected by
the tool that was used to remove.
